This week I am beginning a two-week-long adventure to Thailand, followed by Vietnam and then Taiwan! So far, I've only been in Bangkok, Thailand, which is about 875 miles (~1400km) from Singapore.
I have only traveled from Singapore to Bangkok so far, but there is much more to come!
Getting around usually involves plenty of walking. However, if you need to get further than you can comfortably walk, there is always a bus or subway nearby. In time-sensitive situations, you can also get a Grab, which is like Uber. Some places have Grab bikes, where you can ride on the back of a motorcycle. It's super fun for distances under 20 minutes or so!
This week, I visited the Chinatown night market in Bangkok. This week being the week of Chinese New Year, it was PACKED. It was one of the most chaotic but fun things I can remember doing. There were so many people and lights, and so much noise everywhere. A night market mainly consists of a bunch of vendors selling everything you can think of on the side of the road--at night, of course! Some available things are souvenirs, all types of food, clothing, SIM cards, you name it. The food, which was my main interest, was amazing!
