Hej (hello/hey) from Copenhagen, Denmark and welcome to my first article! It’s aptly called “Eating my way through Denmark” and I’m going to be talking about some of the amazing Danish and Swedish food I’ve indulged in during my first month abroad. I’m embarrassed to admit that the first meal I had after I landed (from a 24-hour travel day) was a pepperoni pizza. Since then, I have tried and loved so many coffees, pastries, bowls and more!
A better question is, what haven’t I tried yet? Somehow, lots! Call me dramatic but deciding on what food photos to include and share may be one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and Denmark has some amazing pastries and dessert. So far, I have tried: dessert pies, savory pies, churros, a traditional BMO breakfast, banana cream matcha, Swedish meatballs, a traditional croque monsieur and so many lattes.
