Traveler Bio

¡Hola!! My name is Eliana, but you can call me Eli (pronounced Ellie). I am 23 years old and have called Charleston, South Carolina, home for more than half of my life. I grew up here, attended Wando High School, and later graduated from the College of Charleston with degrees in Foreign Language Education and Spanish. In Charleston, you can usually find me at the beach, trying a new restaurant, or watching the sunset.

During college, I had the opportunity to study abroad in a small town in Spain, where I completely fell in love with the country, its people, and its culture. That experience sparked my desire to return to Spain and spend more time immersing myself in the language and culture while sharing my own culture and experiences with others. Now, I am thrilled to be back in Spain as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant!

I am excited to explore a new part of the country, meet my students and community, and experience everyday life in the Canary Islands, a place I have never been to before. This journey is going to be so much fun and I hope you are as excited as I am to learn new things, connect, and have fun! I cannot wait to share my adventures, discoveries, and probably way too much food with you all throughout the year! So excited to meet you soon! Hasta luego :)
