Life here feels completely different from the seasons with which I grew up in Virginia. Instead of chilly winters and trees covered in red and orange autumn leaves, I’m surrounded by palm trees and bright blue skies. My friends and I love to explore the outdoors and have enjoyed hiking through volcanic craters, pine forests and sand dunes. The landscape is full of surprises. Just last week, we went on a hike and discovered a hidden beach! As we followed a winding path through rocky cliffs, we stumbled upon tons of quartz crystals. It felt like uncovering a secret world.
Even though I’ve only been here for a short time, Las Palmas is starting to feel like home. I can’t wait to share more about my adventures with you!
