My name is Edith-Marie Green! I'm 25 and working on my PhD in population health sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I primarily research aging and the end-of-life, and I am also very interested in health policy. I am originally from Mississippi and did my bachelor's, which was in international studies, at the University of Mississippi! My bachelor's thesis was on end-of-life healthcare debates in the German parliament, or Bundestag, and for my dissertation I am studying loneliness as a risk factor for dementia! I used to live in Germany in 2022 and am very excited to be back thanks to a Fulbright U.S. Student Program Open Research award! When I'm not researching, I love to read, cross-stitch, and watch Star Trek. I also have a tuxedo cat named Danny that I adore!
