Traveler Bio

Holiss (friendly "hello")! My name is Edgar, and I’ll be traveling to Mexico to study in Cuernavaca, Morelos, also known as “La Ciudad de la Eterna Primavera” (City of Eternal Spring). It’s actually pretty close to where my family is from in Michoacán, so I’m especially excited to be spending this next chapter there!

I was born in New Mexico and grew up visiting my family in my small hometown of Truth or Consequences, where I developed an appreciation for forestry, agriculture, and native wildlife. I later moved to New York City, where I completed my Bachelor’s in Nursing and Public Health.

Now, I’m really excited to begin my Master’s in Environmental Health, while I also reconnect with my Mexican heritage and share this journey with you all! I’m also looking forward to getting to know everyone and hearing about your school year!!
