Eating Ghanaian Food!

How is the food prepared?:

Banku is prepared by mixing corn dough with cassava dough to form one wet dough. This dough is then fermented over the next few days. Then, the dough is cooked by using boiling water and eventually formed in to small balls. The groundnut stew is prepared by mashing groundnuts into a paste and cooking it. Vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, and okra are added to the stew.

Is this food connected to the local environment? How?:

This food connected to the local environment because it is prepared using local crops from Ghana. The majority of people in my community are farmers, and they farm crops such as cassava, maize, yams, groundnuts, and okra. Banku with groundnut stew is a traditional local dish, and it is created using local ingredients.
