My dad is an abañil (construction worker), and my mom works at a zapatería (shoe store). My dad helps build houses or pave roads. My mom will be at the store selling shoes to customers.
I start school at 7:30 a.m. and go until 12:30 p.m.
I can walk to school by myself most days, but some days my brother will drop me off on his moto (motorcycle).
After returning home from school, I will eat lunch with my family. For special occasions, I really enjoy pollo frito (fried chicken) from Pollo Campero, a popular fried chicken restaurant in Guatemala.
At school, I speak Spanish, but I also take classes in English and Kaqchikel, the local Mayan language.
Some common names at my school are Emily, Delmy, Christian, Marcos, Leidy, and Fatima.
As I said earlier, I have classes in English and Kaqchikel. However, I have classes in math, expression (art/music), science, social studies, Spanish, communication, and physical education. My favorite is physical education because I can play soccer or run around.
