As my time abroad in Dublin comes to an end, I want to thank you all for being part of this journey with me. It has truly meant so much to share my experience with you, and I hope you've enjoyed following along as much as I've enjoyed living it.
Studying and interning abroad in foreign politics has taught me so many lessons, not just about a new country, but about myself. Coming from California, I was used to warm weather, familiar cultures and being close to home. Moving to Ireland--where it's colder, the food is different, and everything felt new--pushed me far outside my comfort zone. But through that challenge, I've grown in ways I never expected: I've become more independent, more confident and more open to new experiences.
Since I'm a first-generation Hispanic student, this journey means even more to me. When I was in high school, I never imagined I would study abroad, and even when I started college, it still didn't feel real. Now, after studying in Europe twice, I've realized that your path can change in the best ways when you allow yourself to change and take risks.
So, my message to you is simple: don't be afraid to go far, to challenge yourself and to dream bigger than you think is possible.
