Hi! My name is Cristina Sirbu, and I am a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Kyrgyzstan. I am currently teaching English at Kyrgyz State Technical University (Politekh). I was born in the country of Moldova and raised in the United States, and these early cross-cultural experiences have shaped my passion for education, international exchange, and community engagement.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Entrepreneurship, and Eastern European & Eurasian Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College. I was actively involved in mentoring, the arts, cultural organizations, and diversity initiatives.
As a Fulbright Scholar this year, I couldn't be more excited to share my experiences with students around the world while learning from the people, traditions, and perspectives of Kyrgyzstan. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy playing and teaching violin, exploring new cultures, traveling, and connecting with people through the arts.
