I traveled a cumulative total of about 200 miles this week. Most of it involved driving to and from Hehuanshan. On the weekdays, I typically walk to work and to school, and if needed, I take the bus to get to Changhua City (彰化市, zhānghuà shì) for certain events.
If I were to combine all of my bus rides, walking, high-speed rail transit, and car rides during my past two-and-a-half months in Taiwan, I probably reached up to 5,000 miles of transportation so far. I look forward to traveling overseas during the Lunar New Year!
Aside from hiking and the stormy weather, this week was a relatively typical work week for me: I almost exclusively walk to school, to the gym and to nearby restaurants and supermarkets to try out new food.
It was definitely Hehuanshan! In fact, Hehuanshan is known for being one of Taiwan’s most accessible high-altitude peaks due to the fact that the trailheads are easily reached by either car or public transportation.
