Transportation in South Korea

I thought that I wouldn't be able to ride my bike many places because the streets would be busy. Instead, I found that I can ride my bike safely and get to my destination in the same amount of time it would take to ride the bus.

Is this way of getting around connected to the culture and environment, How?:

It is! In South Korea, there is a large focus on preserving and respecting nature. In fact, there are 22 national parks in South Korea, while there are 58 in the U.S. This is crazy, because the U.S. is 99 times bigger than South Korea!! South Korea has many celebrations related to nature as well. Every city and village, no matter how small, will have at least one festival a year. Many of these festivals are related to nature in some way. On my island, there are two main festivals. One is the Fire Festival, which celebrates the changing of the season. The other festival is the Cherry Blossom festival that is celebrated when the cherry blossoms around Halla Mountain bloom.
