Daily Life in Madrid

First, there are the basic ones that travel shorter distances throughout the city. Then, there are also medium- and high-speed trains that connect different cities and regions in Spain. Sometimes, because the city is walkable, I can walk from place to place; however, Madrid is HUGE, so walking from where I live to the city center would take 2 hours. That is why I usually take the train from place to place. This is very different from Nashville, TN, where I have to drive to get everywhere.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

The weather in Madrid is very different. For example, during October, it was around 47-50 degrees in the mornings, but by the afternoons it was 87 degrees. Because of this, I usually wear a short-sleeve shirt and jeans with a jacket on top. Nevertheless, fashion here has surprised me. For example, many people here wear cowboy boots. In my head, that has always been associated with specific parts of the United States, but it's just as common here.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and trying new things. Whether it is a new ice cream place or a museum, it is always fun. In Spain, some museums have strict laws on photography, which has been very interesting to me. Additionally, I love to go shopping, or at least looking around at all the different shops they have here.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

Spanish is one of many languages in Spain; however, in Madrid, Spanish is the official language. Hola is how to say hello. I speak only English and Spanish.
