Traveler Bio

Hello everyone! 歡迎 (Huānyíng; Welcome) to my journey! My name is Choetsow (cho-tso), and I am 23 years old, originally from Charlottesville, Virginia. Growing up, I developed a deep love for global cultures and international relations. Whether it was meeting new people from different countries, exploring museums in Washington D.C., or engaging in Model United Nations during middle school, those experiences have significantly shaped my fond memories.

For my academic journey, I had the privilege of attending Harvard University, where I pursued a joint degree in social studies and East Asian studies, along with a minor in education. During my time there, I immersed myself in learning Mandarin (Chinese) and East Asian politics.

Currently, I am in Taipei, Taiwan, working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant. My days are filled with teaching in a bilingual school and exploring this beautiful island. Taiwan is a small but beautifully diverse country, and I hope I can provide you with a glimpse into its cultural richness and help shape a more open worldview! Let's make this a year of growth, learning, and mutual inspiration. Looking forward to connecting with each one of you!
