Italian is spoken all around Italy. If you visit a touristy city, like Rome, Venice and Milan, most people will also speak English. If you go to smaller cities, fewer people speak English. When I visited Polingano a Mare, I heard a lot of people speaking Hungarian and Polish! Every day that I walk around Rome, I hear Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, French and German.
The money used in Italy is called the Euro. It is very similar to the United States Dollar.
A bottle of water will cost between €1-2. This is about $1-2.
I tried octopus for the first time! It was super yummy! I like all kinds of seafood, but octopus is now one of my favorites. It was very soft, and it did not taste fishy.
I listened to Italian songs including L'Italiano, Il filo rosso and ITALODISCO.
