Howdy!
My name is Cecilia Reis and I am currently pursuing a Fulbright grant in Assis, São Paulo, Brazil where I am teaching English at a state university (São Paulo State University, UNESP).
There are a lot of things that led me to this journey and I’m excited to share some of them with you!
I was born in Brasilia, Brazil and moved to Austin, Texas when I was almost two years old for my father to pursue a MBA at the University of Texas at Austin. We moved from Austin to Idaho and then settled in Seattle, Washington for almost a decade! In high school, my family moved back to Austin.
I decided to stay in-state for school (my parents were empty nesters!) and went to Texas A&M University where I majored in Business Honors and Management with a minor in French and a certificate in International Business. I loved my time in college where I made incredible friendships, was lucky enough to find inspiring and supportive mentors and participate in formative programs that shaped me into the person I am today.
