We had typical winter weather in Utrecht this week! It was humid, so there was a lot of moisture in the air, but it rained for only two days. I miss the sunny weather back home!
I'm in a pretty big city, so I've just seen urban animals this week. There are lots of pigeons everywhere, and my neighborhood has a few stray cats. I've started carrying around cat treats so I can feed them!
I love seeing ducks and other waterfowl swimming in the canals of Utrecht! Canals and other waterways are plentiful in the Netherlands. People can take boats onto the canals, and when they freeze over in the winter, everyone goes to ice skate on them!
It's been raining a lot this week, so I haven't seen too many animals outside. The ones that are out don't look very happy about it.
