Career Interview: Zoo Programs Operations Manager

The Zoological Society of Milwaukee is such a positive and supportive work environment, and I try to channel their uplifting mentorship style with each new group of interns that I now get to mentor in my current role.

What do you like to do when you are not teaching visitors about tigers, lions, and bears?
Outside of work, I spend a huge chunk of my free time in the gym, coaching volleyball. Many of my Zoo coworkers get a good chuckle at the fact my team coincidentally is called the Midwest Penguins. Beyond the gym, my rescue pup, Zeus, and I like to test my animal behavior background by doing agility and obedience classes. I also absolutely love to travel and am constantly dreaming up my next destination, but realistically, most of the time I truly enjoy being a homebody and cracking open a good book or watching too much TikTok.
