"My junior high school classes start around 8:45 a.m., and I go home around 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. after my saakuru activities are done." - Sasana, Middle School

How do you get to school? Are you allowed to go to school by yourself?:

"Aruite. By foot. I walk to school. I am allowed to go alone. Most Japanese kids go to school by themselves, I think. Some have to take the train." Shion, Middle School

"I love karaage (fried chicken) and osushi (sushi). I eat at school or at home. We have a shokudo (cafeteria)." - Momoko, High School

What language do you speak at school? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

"I speak Japanese at school, but I also learn English. We only learned grammar and vocabulary so we never really speak it... just write. It depends on the time of day. Usually, we say konnichiwa, but in the morning it is ohayou. " - Momoko, High School
