This week I traveled to Prague and back. On the train, this takes about 4.5 hours each way. The total journey was about 270 miles.
Most weekends I travel to other cities in the Czech Republic. Some of them aren't too far like Olomouc (about 35 miles - 1 hour and 20 minutes on the train), but some places I've traveled to, like Cesky Krumlov, are much further (about 225 miles). I'm not sure how many miles I've traveled since moving to the Czech Republic, but so far I've traveled to about 15 different cities in the Czech Republic and 5 countries (Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, England and Turkey).
Bruntál is a very small town, so I walk everywhere I need to go. It takes about 15 minutes for me to get to the school I work at, 10 minutes to the grocery store and 10 minutes to the town center. It's very easy to get around. I traveled by train to Prague and to the nearby town of Benesov where my friend lives. I usually have to change trains about two or three times to get where I need to go, but it's very easy to figure out.
