Hi everyone! It is so hard to believe that my time in South Korea is coming to an end. What started as a one-semester plan in August 2025 turned into a full year of adventure because I realized I wasn't ready to leave this beautiful culture behind.
Looking back, I remember landing in Incheon Airport feeling absolutely terrified. It was my first time traveling alone, being so far from my family and having to be truly independent.
I’ve learned so much about life and myself over these past few months, and honestly, the experience was better than I ever could have imagined. I’ve navigated huge cities, mastered subway maps and even took university courses in Korean.
If I could give you one piece of advice, I'd say don't get too caught up in your head; let go and just have fun. If you feel a pull to see the world or try something new, listen to it. Do it scared, do it unmotivated, do it happily. Be patient with yourself, and take it one day at a time, especially with learning new things like a language. It’s a journey, not a race.
