Hello, Hola, and Allinllachu!
If you're not a freshman, you might remember me as the science teacher who was frequently confused to be a student. Back then, I begrudgingly had to be called "Mr. Chisholm," but I really don't enjoy such formalities, so instead, please simply call me Aiden. To share a little bit about my own student history, I myself am a W.H.S. Alum, and up until 2019, just five years ago, I was a student in Ms. Desmond's classes, just as you are now. There are many reasons to study a language, including college applications and job opportunities, but I think what really matters is the oppurtunities it provides. Studying a language is only the beginning, a door that opens on to new books, movies, music, perspectives, friends and Instagram reels. By sharing my journey, I hope you get inspired to open this door, whether that be through language-learning or by traveling outside of what you know.
Okay, let's move beyond inspirational moments, and l'll give you a proper introduction to what I'm doing now. I am currently on the tail-end of my Fulbright Perú U.S. Student English Teach Assistantship grant that was awarded to me by the Fulbright Program and funded by the U.S. State Department.
