Hello! My name is Christine, and I am excited to be your Reach the World traveler this semester! I am a Fulbright Scholar in Taiwan teaching English and interculturalism to Taiwanese students. The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and places individuals into various countries around the world to promote intercultural understanding. As such, I represent American values such as diversity, American-Taiwanese unity, and lingual appreciation on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. I am currently placed in Kinmen, Taiwan, an island that is part of Taiwan but located closer to Mainland China than Mainland Taiwan. My hobbies are writing and traveling. Outside of work, I am also active in migration, civil rights, and human rights matters.

Prior to Fulbright, I received my bachelor's degree in Business from the University of Connecticut and triple minored in Global Studies, Human Rights, and Women’s Rights. For my honors thesis, I studied globalization particularly within the nexus of interculturalism and socioeconomic diversity between countries. I also studied abroad as a Visiting Student at the University of Oxford where I studied international law and policy. Following this, I worked as a federal consultant for the U.S.
