A very famous pastry!

Introduction:

Have you ever heard the phrase, "Bon appétit?" Sometimes we say it for fun in the United States, but it actually comes from France. It means "Have a good meal" and it is used before eating every meal. Sometimes the young hip kids say "Bon app." You should try saying it to your friends or family before eating! As you know, France is well known for it's food. I'm excited to share with you some yummy traditions in my region.

What food did I try?:

I tried the "Mr. Smith," which is an award winning pastry! 

How did I feel when I tried it?:

I felt so happy and lucky because it was unlike anything I had ever tasted before. Yum! It was the perfect amount of crunchy, sweet, and a little sour. I felt like a little French girl because the environment at this pastry shop was so fancy and very inviting. Once you order your pastry, they sit you down and equip you with water, napkins, and silverwear. Then once the pastry is placed carefully on a plate, they serve it to you at your table. Imagine a restaurant just for pastries!

How is the food prepared?:

The "Mr. Smith" pastry is an apple tart with almond cream, apple marmalade and sparkling vanilla mousse. At first I thought the pastry would be hard like an apple, but when I bit into the beautiful treat, it was very soft like a marshmallow. It takes great patience to make the "Mr.
