Of course, Italian is the main language spoken in Venice, but many people we encountered spoke English, too. 

What type of money is used here?:

Euros are used all throughout Italy. 0.50 Euro is equivalent to around 0.59 U.S. dollars.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

The average bottle of water costs about 0.50 euro, which is about 0.60 cents in U.S. dollars!

What was the best meal this week?:

The day after we arrived in Venice, my friends and I went to a little family-owned restaurant called Ristorante Pizzeria Capri, where I had the best lasagna of my life! It's one of my favorite foods, and the chance to have authentic lasagna in Italy was an amazing experience. My taste buds were very happy. 

What music did I listen to this week?:

The train ride to Venice was a few hours long, so I listened to a lot of music on the way, mainly hip hop. My favorite rap artists are Young Thug and Future.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

The most fun activity was exploring the streets of Venice with my friends. We met many locals with whom we struck up the most interesting conversations. We also got to visit a lot of family-owned shops that specialized in manufacturing their own crafts and materials.
