Firstly, thank you all for an incredible semester! I loved getting to know you all and hearing what you found most interesting about history, Hungarian history, and the city of Budapest! Your questions sparked so much interest in my own adventure here. I will take this final journal entry to share with you all how I am finishing up my time in Budapest and some lessons I have learned being abroad!
My time in Hungary will conclude in mid-June, and I will be spending the rest of my time here soaking up every minute of summer in the city! I will end on a high note, presenting my research at the University of Pécs in southern Hungary.
My biggest lesson from being abroad is to take advantage of every opportunity, big and small! This program is a perfect example of that. What started as a simple email from Reach the World turned into an incredible opportunity that I will cherish.
Another lesson is to never underestimate your questions. My questions have taken me all the way from Hawai'i to Hungary. Your questions and curiosity are even more powerful! Keep asking insightful questions every step of the way!
