I wanted to discuss my experience with the healthcare system in France. Recently, I have accumulated a total of three healthcare providers that I must check in with once or twice a week. While in France, I have gotten injured, been sick, and even grieved. I thought since I've been through it all, I would describe my experiences, what I've gone through, and how it's becoming resolved.
First, once I arrived in France, it did not take me long to get COVID. I'm afraid COVID is attracted to me like a magnet (it was my fourth time getting it)! Surprisingly, no one else in my program or any one with me on my trip got sick thankfully. Before realizing I had COVID, I was feeling a bit sick. Luckily, I had a spare COVID test I had packed with me and decided I would check just in case. Good thing I did! After testing positive, I put a hard stop to socializing, and began wearing masks while in closed spaces. When I wanted to check the status of my COVID, I walked down to the local pharmacy and purchased another at-home test.
