This week, I traveled 115 miles between Tartu and Tallinn so that I could attend the Women's March in downtown Tallinn.
I have been fortunate to visit Belgium, Finland and Latvia, as well as several cities in Estonia.
This week I walked to my destinations. I also used a taxi sevice in Estonia called Taxify to catch a car to transport me from the outskirts of the city.
I visited Riga, the capital of Latvia. Riga is a port city famous for its architecture, with houses dating back to the 15th century and with charming Art Nouveau and Gothic designs. I visited the iconic image of Riga, the House of the Blackheads, where German merchants lived and worked hundreds of years ago, and I ate lunch at the bustling Central Market. Like Estonia, Latvia has been occupied by many different empires and countries over its history, so Riga has a mix of many cultures and cuisines for the adventurous!
