The weather this week has been as sunny and beautiful as always! It rained a few days which was just as lovely. The climate in Samoa is very hot and humid, but I have learned tips and tricks to adapt to the heat.
I've seen tropical birds such as the yellow Polynesian wattled honeyeater and Samoan startlings, which fly around and always sing such beautiful tunes! I have also seen many cats and dogs walking around the neighborhoods and people's yards. Aside from that, I've come across some cockroaches and rats this week. They're commonly seen, but I must say, however, that I tend to try to avoid them!
The most magnificient thing I saw in nature this week was the rural mountainside of Samoa! When I stood over one of the local cliff ledges, I had a complete view of a vast region of the island! I saw miles upon miles of lush, green forest as well as the ocean beyond the horizon.
