Fa Soifua! Farewell!

I have come to accept that most problems, even if they seem disastrous, can be solved more easily with a good sense of humor and an assertive attitude. Even if something goes wrong, as long as you can think about a solution rationally instead of getting frustrated or scared, you can solve pretty much any problem!

One of the most valuable lessons I've learned during my time in Samoa is to be flexible and patient. Even with the most careful planning, things can go wrong. When a storm arrives and it begins to rain, should you stand under the gray clouds and shake your angry fists at the skies? No! You should stay positive, think and come up with something to do in spite of the rain (or hopefully rummage through your backpack for an umbrella).

I would like to thank you all for following along on this roller-coaster ride of a journey abroad! Thank you for allowing me to share my stories and adventures with you. I hope my time abroad has encouraged you all to open your minds to the beauty of other cultures and the world. Remember that you can make new friends in unexpected places and that your next trip might just be the most amazing adventure of your life!

Fa'afetai tele lava! Thank you so much!

Best Regards,

Alyssa Kaewwilai
