Aloha, A Hui Hou Kakou

Although I will still be staying in China until the end of the year, I will still be bidding farewell to Nanjing soon, as I embark on a new journey in a new city for the second half of my program. I have established a daily routine here that will be hard to start over once I move, but I am excited for the next phase of my journey. It just goes to show that there is still so much to be seen and to learn in China that it is hard to pass on the opportunity to move.

On that note, I hope that everyone will take the opportunity to study abroad in their future if they have it. Right now, as most of you head off to college, it is the best time of your life to take the chance to explore and learn as much as you can. No place can really be fully learned about through books and movies, so definitely go to the country first-hand and immerse yourself in the language and culture. There will be positive and negative experiences on every journey, but those change by the day. Your study abroad journey will be life changing, not only for you, but for many others that you meet on your journey. Finally, as this is my last journal entry, I wish each one of you the very best in your future endeavors and hope you will visit China or any other country your heart desires. As a farewell from my hometown of Hawaii, aloha a hui hou kakou. Farewell, until we meet again.
