What main languages are spoken here?:

Trier is still in Germany and German is spoken by citizens here. However, the city is very close to the borders with France and Luxembourg, so I got to hear French and Luxembourgish, too.

What type of money is used here?:

The euro. Luckily, I didn't have to change my money this time.

How much does a bottle of water cost?:

A bottle of water costs only about 1 euro 70 here.

What was the best meal this week?:

My roommate's mother decided to cook Dampfnudeln for my visit. Dampfnudeln is a dish of steamed dumplings, frequently served with a tangy wine sauce. This dish was delicious

What music did I listen to this week?:

My roommates and I listened to a German Hip Hop artist named seeed.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

I really enjoyed getting to know my roommate's family in his hometown. They were very welcoming and had a beautiful home.

What did I read this week?:

I had a couple of hours to spend in Trier, so I sat down at a local cafe and read a few pages of The October Man by Ben Aaronovitch. It is a magical crime story that actually takes place in Trier.
