I traveled to Milan this weekend. Milan is about 160 miles away from Florence.
Since arriving to Florence, I've only traveled to Milan. Therefore, I've traveled 160 miles outside of my base city so far!
I got around mostly by foot this week, and walked just under 50 miles. However, I also learned how to use the metro and train station for the first time.
The most interesting place I visited was the museums in Florence. On the first day of every month, museums in Florence offer free entry. On February 1, My friends and I went to the Museo del Bargello and the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze, which is where the Statue of David is located. They were both so impressive. I find it interesting how rich the history, art, and architecture are in Europe. We don’t have anything like it back in Fort Wayne!
