What Led Me to Romania

Each photo captures my two passions, traveling and dancing, and also serves as a digital souvenir. Two years after my return to New York City from Italy, I was itching to begin traveling more. Even though I wanted to create more “travel pose” photos, this wasn’t the main reason I was eager to travel again. More importantly, I wanted to continue learning more about other cultures around the world, and to reflect more on my own.

After graduating from NYU last May, my next opportunity to travel came when I was offered a position as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA). As a Fulbright ETA, I teach English to university students in Constanta, Romania who are studying American literature and culture.  I have been working in Constanta for five months now, and it has been a blast so far! Living on Romania’s Black Sea coast, I have gotten to explore its wonderful beaches, ancient Roman ruins, and so much more. I have made many new friends from Romania and all over the world, completed two Romanian language courses, and, most importantly, succeeded in capturing many more “travel pose” photos that I am excited to share with you all! I can’t wait to tell you more about the Romanian culture and what I have learned from living here. But ‘til soon, pa (bye) for now!
