I traveled a lot around campus but not too far from it. My office hours are off campus at a local coffee shop. I plan on seeing more of Shenyang in the upcoming weeks.
I have been to the imperial palace in Shenyang. It is a beautiful piece of ancient history in this region. I believe that is the furthest location that I have traveled to so far!
My focus this week has been my classes, which are all on campus, so I have been walking. My preferred method of transportation is on my trusted legs!
I finally registered for a gym membership this week! A student here at Northeastern University helped me. The gym is marvelous and includes a jaw dropping bird's-eye view of Shenyang and the Sanhao Bridge.
This weekend is an extended weekend because of the Mid-Autumn Festival. It is an important traditional holiday in China where families come together and deliver good wishes for the future. Some students told me that people view the full moon at night during this week and eat wonderful mooncakes of many shapes, sizes and fillings.
