The weather was perfect for getting to know the city and outside areas. It was sunny, but not too hot, with clouds providing comforting shade. When it rained though, oh boy did it pour! Since Colombia is now in the rainy season, usually at some point in the afternoon or evening, there will be a storm that arrives out of nowhere. In fact, earlier this week, it was raining so hard that it started hailing!
While I unfortunately didn't get to see too much wildlife or nature on these trips, I have started to notice cows at my university! Since there is a large veterinarian program, there are often farm animals wandering around the campus.
The coolest thing I saw in nature this week was the lake at Parque Simon Bolivar, Bogotá's largest public park. I've seen it many times before, but this past time the lake reflected the gray clouds in the sky so mysteriously, it was almost chilling.
