This week, I traveled from my hometown to Boston to Barcelona. A total of of 3,680 miles so far!
My car trip was an hour, my flight was seven hours, and my bus to the center of Barcelona was half an hour. Altogether, I have traveled a total of eight and a half hours. I am trying my best to avoid jet lag!
I drove to the airport and then hopped on a seven hour plane to Barcelona. Once I had arrived, I found the Aerobus, a cheap, popular bus in Barcelona that brought me from the airport to the center of the city. From there, I walked to a hotel, where the members of my trip are staying for our first night. Afterwards, we explored a piece of the city on foot. You can see an incredible amount of things just by walking around someplace new!
While it may not count as a visit, we spent our first night wandering around part of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous, and the nightime lighting gave it an otherworldly air. I will definitely come back during the day and try to get a closer look!
