A Day in the Life of a German Kid

Introduction:

Stanislav Angelov is an 8th grade student in Germany. His nickname is Stan. He is 14 years old. Stan was born in a country called Bulgaria. Bulgaria is a country on the continent of Europe, just like Germany. Stan moved to Germany in 2015. He is an only child and he lives with his mom and dad.

German students like Stan, and Gunther in the book Back to School We Go, receive a Schultüte on the first day of school. This is mostly for younger students, so I haven't seen it happen at my school and Stan didn't get one this year. My friend bought me a Schultüte for my first day of teaching though! They can be bought at stores or made at home with wrapping paper and cardboard. They are filled with candies, school supplies or other treats!

Stan answered the questions below. Read on to learn more about Stan's life!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast I always eat a hard bread roll. I eat different foods for lunch and dinner. What I eat depends on what my mom has cooked. I eat lunch at home, even on school days.

What is your house like?:

We live in a house with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a guest room and a bathroom. It is a three-story house and we live on the top floor. The owner of the house and another family live below us. I have my own room.
