Nicole's Day at Rancho Don José

Introduction:

Rancho Don José (Don José's Ranch) is a farm in Río Blanco (White River). It is most known for its coffee, but it also has pigs, cows, goats, horses, bunnies and rabbits!

What does this creature or plant look like?:

There were a few different bunnies and rabbits, but I held a bunny who was the size of a teacup. The bunny was all white with a pink nose and black eyes. When holding the bunny, I had to hold it with both hands and cover its face because it was very sensitive to light. In Spanish, bunny is el conejito and rabbit is el conejo

How did I feel when I saw it?:

I was so happy when I saw the bunnies and rabbits. We had been seeing pigs, cows, goats and horses, but I was too afraid to touch or get too close to them. But when we got to the bunnies and rabbits, we could touch and hold them.

Where does it live?:

All of the animals live in Rancho Don José which is a farm in Río Blanco. Río Blanco is about an hour outside of Santiago.

How does it use its environment to survive?:

All of the animals are taken care of by the people who work at the farm. They give them water, food and love, which is what they need to survive!
