It's been cold this week, with weather that makes you want to bundle up. If you wear a scarf (which you should), the warm air you breathe is pushed upward, which leaves ice on your eyebrows, eyelashes and even your nose hairs!
The weather this time of year is very cold, with temperatures between 0 degrees and -40 degrees Fahrenheit. Many people live in moveable homes, called gers. Because these homes are not connected to heating, people have to burn coal to stay warm. Unfortunately, all the coal burned creates particles in the air that people breathe in, so the air pollution of the city is bad, especially early in the morning and around dinner time.
In town, you often see stray dogs, pigeons and cows searching garbage bins for trash to eat.
