After 5 minutes or so of being outside, I can expect my scarf, eyelashes and eyebrows to be covered in ice caused by my breath!
It doesn't snow much in Khovd, although other parts of Mongolia receive lots of snow. The snow that does fall, sticks around all winter because it's too cold to melt! If you leave your laundry outside to dry, it will freeze up like a stiff ironing board.
