Meeting Helena Bustos

Introduction:

Helena and her family have been very welcoming to me during my time in Spain, and I am so grateful to know them. They include me in their family activities, and they make me feel so cared for. Helena lives in Spain, but last year, she traveled to the United States all by herself to study in New York! She speaks both Spanish and English. She is always so kind and helps me learn Spanish. It is a pleasure to know her, and I am excited for you to know her, too.

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

"For breakfast, I have an avocado toast with salt, oil and seeds and a yogurt. For lunch, I usually have pasta, chicken, salad, an omelet or fried eggs. For dinner, I eat fish, salad, turkey breast, or a French omelet. When it´s Friday, I sometimes have a special dinner like pizza, a burger or Japanese food."

Helena eats very delicious and healthy food. One time, her family invited me over to their house, and Helena cooked for all of us! She made avocado toast with ham and a poached egg on top. It was so yummy! Her younger brother, Rafa, made cookies for dessert! Mmm! Do you like to cook as Helena does?

What is your house like?:

"My house is a flat in a new neighborhood. It is entirely white and we added wooden furniture. My room is white with pale pink furniture. I have a desk to study and a big open closet.
