The main language spoken here is Spanish.
The currency used here is the Costa Rican colón. The exchange rate is constantly changing, but right now it would take about 578 colones to equal one U.S. dollar.
A bottle of water typically costs about 1,000 colones, or about $1.70.

In fact, rice and beans are served with just about every meal. It may sound like a simple combination of foods, but it makes for a flavorful and filling meal.
