In Romania and in many cities in Europe, there are big Christmas markets where vendors sell gifts, food, and drinks. These markets are up from November through January 1st. My school has been on a winter break, so I have been able to travel recently and have visited the Christmas markets in Budapest, Hungary, Brussels, Belgium, as well as in Bucharest and Suceava!
