The new year in London was off to a cold start! While it was slightly warmer than Le Puy in the beginning of the week, I still wore a hat, gloves, and winter coat every day. A trip to England wouldn't be complete without a little rain, so there was one drizzly afternoon.
Since I spent this week in the city, I saw a lot of pigeons on the sidewalks and dogs being walked around town. A few dogs were even wearing small coats!
A cool and surprising find was spotting parrots in Hyde Park. Who would think that they could survive the winter when they come from such tropical climates?
While I might not have seen many animals in nature, I did see a lot in art! In the National Gallery, I spotted bulls, cows, rams, goats, and donkeys on artwork from Ancient Greece and Mesopotamia.
