For dessert, we had fig-filled doughnuts, which are a Maltese specialty they call "imqaret".
Right now I am obsessed with Owen Leuellen, the most recent runner-up in XFactor Malta.
This past weekend was a four day weekend because of the "Carnival" festival, which is a party before the start of Lent. Many Maltese people spend almost an entire year creating very elaborate floats out of paper maché for parades at the Carnival. There are dance performances and everyone is dressed up in costumes. I dressed up as a jellyfish because there are many jellyfish in Malta!
I am currently reading "Born a Crime" by Trevor Noah.
I'm not really a sporty person, but I do like going to yoga at the end of each week to destress!
