Our News

This book has been helping me to get more insight on the early history of Ecuador and the many changes put into place by each president after Ecuador's independence. Did you know that the early Incan empire started in Peru and spread all throughout Ecuador? They were very powerful people!

What games or sports did I play this week?:

Although I did not physically play any games or sports this week, I went on an adventurous boat trip on the Guayas River in Guayaquil, Ecuador, which is my host city. On the trip, I was able to see the full span of the downtown area, the old part of the city, and the bridges to the other towns surrounding Guayaquil, Samborondón and Durán.

Other news from this week:

While in Quito, I was able to travel to the new English language school, called Centro Ecuatoriano Norteamericano de Quito (Ecuadorian and North American Center of Quito). This is the same school that I attend in Guayaquil, and I asked my director if we could stop to take a look. The upcoming director welcomed us with open arms! This new school will be located at the old airport site of Quito and, will allow citizens to learn both the English language and the culture and history of the United States of America.
