Getting to Know Irene

Introduction:

For this interview, my boss at the research lab invited me to speak with her daughter, Irene. (You will see in the interview that Irene mentions that her mom studies the brain – which is what I study, too!) Irene is four years old and was born in Barcelona. Do any of you have any siblings that are around her age? Like all kids in Barcelona, she grows up learning two languages: Catalan and Spanish. She is a very busy girl, with plenty of after school activities.

As you read this interview and get to know Irene, I would like you all to think about what kinds of things you have in common with Irene, and what kinds of things you would like to learn more about. I would like to give a big gracias, or thank you, to Irene for the interview!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, cereales con leche (cereal with milk) and sometimes milk with mini muffins. For lunch, I eat lots of different things, but I like to eat pasta. I also like vegetables, beans, and meat. For dinner, I eat soup, croquetas, fish, chicken, and breaded meat.

What is your house like?:

My home is small, but I have a large dining room. My home also has a balcony, a kitchen, and a bathroom. My room is a square. I have toys, a dollhouse, and new Barbies. I also have a little playroom with books and a computer.
