Caterina: I enjoy traveling, seeing movies and going with my family to the park.
Zhu: I like to watch soccer. My favorite soccer club is Liverpool.
Caterina: I speak Mandarin Chinese, the Shanghai dialect, and English. In Mandarin, "hello" is ni hao. In Shanghainese, it is nong hao.
Zhu: I speak Mandarin Chinese, the Sichuan dialect, and English. In my dialect, "hello" also sounds a little like Mandarin. It is also ni hao, but hao is pronounced with the fourth tone instead of the third tone.
Caterina: I do not have any pets.
Zhu: My parents have a dog. He looks like a little teddy bear. He is brown and has curly hair. He is a miniature poodle.
Caterina: I have traveled to lots of places. In China, I have traveled to the provinces of Tibet, Qinghai, Yunnan, Jiangsu and Hainan. I have also gone to Hong Kong. In Asia, I have also traveled to Singapore, Nepal and Japan. In Europe, I have traveled to Turkey, France, Italy, England and Scotland. I also ecently went to Israel. I have gone to the U.S., specifically to San Francisco and Los Angeles in California.
Zhu: I have traveled to every single province in China except for Xinjiang (there are 34 provinces in China). I have also traveled to the countries of Thailand and Malaysia.
