Travel News

How far did I travel this week?:

The drive to Cornwall took about five hours on a big tour bus.

How far have I traveled on this journey so far?:

Cornwall was the furthest that I have traveled on my journey so far, but I have also taken a day trip to Brighton. Brighton is another beach town in England, just about an hour away. It is fun to visit the coast of England while it is still warm. It will soon be really cold in England, and the beach is not as fun in the cold!

How did I get around this week?:

This week I rode a bus a lot. I also needed to do a lot of walking to get around Cornwell and London.

What was the most interesting place I visited this week?:

The castle ruins at Tintagel were definitly the most interesting place that I visited this week. Legend has it that the castle was the birthplace of King Arthur! Have you heard of King Arthur? How about his Knights of the Round Table? He pops up in a lot of English romantic fairytales.

Other Travel News from this week:

After this weekend, buses have become my favorite means of transportation. Buses often take longer than other transportation options, but I enjoy watching the countryside roll by outside of the window and getting to know the cities that I'm riding through a little better.
